• 2). Speak with the representative about the program and payment options that are available for someone who meets your household and financial circumstances. If you qualify for any lower rates, you will be notified by the representative.
  
  
• 3). Set up the program you qualify for with the customer service representative.

• 1). Open your computer's Web browser and navigate to the PG&E Financial Assistance Programs website.
  
  
• 2). Click each financial assistance program link to learn about the program. Programs include the CARE (California Alternative Rates for Energy) and FERA (Family Electric Rate Assistance) programs, which assist income-qualified families by lowering their energy bills, and the Energy Partners Program, which lowers your bill by paying to make your house more energy efficient.
  
  
• 3). Fill out the online application for any programs of interest and submit it online. You will receive a response from PG&E by email or traditional mail regarding your application.
