Using EFT to Stop Stress

There are many ways to combat stress.
You will be able to name some just through people's recommendations.
Although they may mean well when they give you advice, the truth is that different things work for different people.
Some people get very serious about advising you to try their technique and they might get instant results using a certain technique where others might not see any change at all.
A moderately new technique to try is Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT).
The reason I recommend people to try this before other techniques is the results are measurable and the statistics are very impressive for those who see improvement.
By asking you to try this I may fall into the group of people dishing out advice based on results they have gotten and that is not necessarily catered for you, however the reason I believe it to be so effective is that as it implies in the name, they are techniques and not just one technique.
It is a bit of a cheeky way of getting lots of different things and repackaging it as one thing.
The routine you go through when using EFT is highly effective at using lots of different things to ensure success: 1) Recording your results 2) Speaking to your subconscious mind 3) Relaxation breathing 4) Acupressure 5) Pattern interrupters If you know the EFT routine and you come across a time or situation where you become stressed or anxious, if you make it a habit to go through your EFT routine it stops you or your brain going through the normal motions of stress and that snowball effect of self talk until aggravation and negative physical changes in your body.
In theory even if you don't notice a large change in your mental state when trying this, it stops that pattern that can lead to the old classic fight or flight response every one knows so well! Pattern interrupters are hugely successful at dealing with mental issues as human beings are creatures of habit.
Break the habit and you change the results you will get.
As EFT use the how stressed are you out of 10? question before you start and then after you finish, you are automatically able to see if you are doing something that works or not.
Take a leaf out of their book and even if you decide not to use EFT, take that question (how stressed are you out of 10?) and use it in other stress reduction areas and before you know it you might have created your own stress beating techniques to share with the world!
