    • 1). Click on "System," go to "Administration," then click "Software Sources."

    • 2). Click the "Updates" tab in the "Software Sources" window.

    • 3). Check the Ubuntu update types you want to receive.

    • 4). Check the "Check for updates:" option and choose a timeframe.

    • 5). Choose the "Install security updates without confirmation" radio button to have updates install automatically in the background.

    • 6). Click "Close" to close the dialog box. The system will notify you when the computer must be rebooted.
